just checking in
It seems like an eternity since our last blog post. In our defence we've been mighty busy - but that's no excuse! Got a few things to talk about so let's get to it.
Good Vibes
First off we have to thank everybody who was at Heatseeker vs Vibe at Vibe, Sheffield on Friday night (29th). We had a great night, apart from the stinking weather - gale force winds & driving rain - which made the three hour trek closer to five!
The party was in full swing by the time we arrived at the venue, and as we were late we jumped straight on the decks to hit Sheffield with some fresh RS Music material.
All of the sets we heard were quality, with the crowd receptive to old & new tracks alike - biggest reaction of the night was most probably Wittyboy's Mussy Mad, which raised the roof (twice).
We've also gotta give props to the car loads of people who made the trek up from London, including Force FM's Nicky K & TeeTotal Family (who most definately weren't tee total!).
Destined For Top Ten?
Delinquent's My Destiny ft KCat finally goes on general release today, so you should be able to grab a copy from your local HMV or similar. If you don't know the track, come out from the rock under which you live, and take a look at the My Destiny video.
We're hoping for the best of success for Mike & Phil Delinquent, so we strongly encourage you to go & buy a copy of the single.. for less than the price of a burger, you can help keep Bassline/Niche music at the forefront of the UK club scene for a long time to come.
Get Down, Now
The last thing for now is a quick mention of new Juicy Joints & Joanna Power track Getting Down Now. Some of you will have already had a listen to the audio preview via the RS Music homepage, and some will have undoubtedly heard it in club land, but for those who haven't please head over here & take a listen.
There are a lot of DJs already on the case with the track, so maximum respect to everyone that includes. There are mixes from Dub Melitia & Shawfire on the way, so come back soon for audio of those too.
