new bassline music show on kiss network
Wednesday, 05 March 2008
In what could only be described as great news for Bassline music, Kiss 100 are giving UKG legend DJ EZ a new dedicated bassline show, every Saturday night.
The new show, provisionally entitled Kiss Bassline Mix Show, will run from 10pm - 11pm GMT every Saturday starting this week, Saturday 8th March. Zed will be showcasing the latest bassline flavas every week, chopped up in trademark DJ EZ style.
An announcement on EZ's website yesterday said:
"With the explosion of the Bassline sound, Kiss have alotted 60 mins of their Saturday night programming to DJ EZ to bring you 'The Kiss Bassline Mix' (show name to be confirmed)
He will be busting all the latest bassline/niche flavours from the likes of T2, DJ Q, TS7, Dexplicit, Wideboys, Palceface, Northernline and more. He will also be mixing in heavy bass 4 to the floor from the past which was given the term 'speed garage' with tracks from R.I.P, 187 Lockdown, Armand Van Helden and G.O.D to name a few.
This sound was big in the South East in the late 90's and was the original sound of Niche from events held at Niche Nightclub in Sheffield, which was one of the main pioneer venues for the Bassline house scene. Other recognised pioneers of the sound are DJs such as Jamie Duggan, Shaun Banger Scott, Paleface, Nev Wright and DJ Nighttrate.
The show is going to be played across the entire Kiss network - 100FM in London/SE, 101FM in Wales, and 105FM in the South West, plus via totalkiss.com, DAB and Sky/Freeview.
We will most definately be locking in ourselves!
